Lucas began his studies at the Guri Project in Bauru (Brazil) in 2004. After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engeneering at UNESP in 2016, he then moved to São Paulo (Brazil) where he graduated from the School of Communication and Arts of the University of São Paulo (ECA USP) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Flute with Prof. Dr. Antonio Carlos Carrasqueira. and performed with the most important young and professional groups in the country. Lucas was the Artistic Director of the 3 editions of the International Flute Festival of Bauru (Brazil).From 2017 to 2023 he hold the national and international scolarships “Magda Tagliaferro” from the Brazilian Culture Institution “Cultura Artística”. He was also the winner of the “Outstanding Student” prize at the 2016 Galway Flute Festival, winner of the 8th and 9th editions of the Ernani de Almeida Machado Prize and winner of the first Jean Nöel-Saghaard Competition. After moving to Europe in 2021, Lucas performed with orchestras in Switzerland, Slovakia and Italy, and won the first prize at the 2022 Summer Flute Orchestral Academy Award, in Czech Republich. Lucas currently holds a Master’s degree in Performance from the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) in the classes of Professors Silvia Careddu, Philippe Racine, Johanna Schwarzl (orchestral preparation), Haika Lübcke (piccolo) and Pamela Stahel (piccolo). He currently works as Solo Piccolo of the Paraná Symphony Orchestra (Brazil), conductor and teacher.
